My Architect is about Nathaniel Kahn search for some piece of his father Louis Kahn. The film covers the architecture extremely well, featuring some fantastic interviews with the likes of Philip Johnson and Moshe Safdie. At times itís heavy-handed with bombastic symphonic montages of Kahnís architecture. Most of the film operates on many different levels, commenting on Kahnís work and life, Nathanielís impressions of his father and family and even the constructed nature of documentary film. Itís unique how it well operates on all these levels at the same time creating an incomparable portrait of the father and also the son.
