This is either the perfect adaptation or I have seen it before. Every scene looked exactly how I remember it from the book and the actors were exact matches for their characters. Actually the scenes look much better then I remembered, each shot was beautifully composed. Every frame of the film is a compelling photograph. After a watching it a friend remarked on the crux of the story. The sailors rescue the boys from the world they constructed, but who will rescue the sailors? An excellent and masterful adaptation of the book.
