Creative, funny, dark and poignant. Mary and Max is a series of tragic events and happenstance held together with a long distance friendship and human emotion. The visually charming claymation is welcoming, if the story is more then a bit bleak. It’s a celebration of friendship, despite it’s sometimes sorrowful mess.
