La Jetée is an experimental 1960’s film, that from what I understand was the inspiration/source for 12 Monkeys. The film is short, only 30 minutes and made up of almost entirely of stills. It deals with the nature of memory and cinema, with its discard of the moving image. Very interesting and thought provoking.
