Its a sophisticated satire, that works on multiple levels against multiple targets. I had read a lot about this film before I saw it, mostly about the ending featuring Habeas Corpus and “Traffic was a bitch”. That being said, I didn’t really come away from the film with much, I more enjoyed what I read about it, then the film itself. Its clever and funny, but so are most of Robert Altman’s films. In the end perhaps it follows its own critiques too well.
