The Big Lebowski

On top of being (as trite as this sounds) non-stop laughs, The Big Lebowski is a well structured movie. There is this repeating of most of the elements. The dialogue such as “unchecked aggression”, camera moves, pulling away from both Bunny and the Big Lebowski, mise-en-scene the tile work from the mansion appearing in the dream. Surprising is the number of loose ends for what is a film noir. The Dude never gets his rug back, nor does the Lebowski foundation get its million dollars. It just ends when the Dude is no longer involved with any of the characters. The Dude abides.
