With the opening of the film, I realized I had seen it before. Probably as a very young child, too young to remember the title. I found it surprisingly good, with only a few points that seemed specifically geared toward children (most notably the Fiery dance/song). It looked great, the film was full of visual tricks, not the least being the Escher staircases. Plus it has creepy David Bowie, who takes the opportunity of a children’s movie to wear the tightest of tights. But in the labyrinth not everything is as it appears.
