I haven’t seen a film so maligned by its publisher. We watched the supposed “Director’s Cut” in a version modified to fill our square television screen. Yeah, I’m sure Ridley Scott wanted the sides of the frame chopped off. The menu system was the barest I have ever seen, the scene selection didn’t have options for chapters 1 or 2. The background “artwork” consisted of a cropped Warner Brothers logo, making it clear where to lay blame.
