The Queen excels at creating a private look into the workings of the royal family, presenting the humanity and flaws of a person who appears as more an institution. It feels authoritative and first person. Helen Mirren performance is so persuasive, it is hard to separate her from Queen Elizabeth. Extremely well done and written, despite not quite being my druthers.
