Excellent sound design that sells the dangers of space flight. It sounded and felt like all the nuts would just rattle right off the bolts. The sound design created a physicality to the rockets and space planes, far beyond shaking the camera and having loud noises. It feels like this was space flight in the 1960s. That verisimilitude helps drive the drama and tension, despite knowing that Armstrong is going to successfully land on the moon and come back to earth.
