Gattaca is such a beautiful film. The cinematography is so good. The locations are so perfect. Frank Lloyd Wright man. I love how it represents such a clean sterile future, but it is also a homage to the class of the late 40’s and early 50’s. The film is just too damn classy, I want to be in that world. Upon this viewing I just noticed the Staircase representing the double helix, and all the shots of the ocean. It revels in the wide shot, and the closeup. Such great images of the skin falling like snow, or Jerome and Irene at the dam where they are so minuscule. And the Marin County Civic Center shines so wonderfully as Gattaca. I was so over joyed when we happened upon it in California. In the future it should be a space center.
