A strong, concentrated film with a great performance by Noomi Rapace as the compelling hero. The movie mostly plays as a conventional procedural, with a dark and distressing plot. It's choked full with the story and often lacks breathing room. It's highlight is Rapace's vulnerable, yet ferocious Lisbeth.
